Knitwear xox

A few days ago I visited a lovely lady who makes our wonderful knitted cardigans, to get to her factory/house, we walked down a narrow street, shoes off at the door and up some creaking stairs we went to find a woollen paradise! This old lady is a good friend of ours and it was so lovely to see her again, we sat in her front room surrounded by new styles, different colour woollens and interesting new patterns whilst discussing the fashion of England and the colours of India. Providing work to around 800 cottage and factory knitters in the surrounding area, this lady is a very well respected and well regarded member of the community, she has worked all of her life and must now be in her 60’s at least. She absolutely loves what she does and this reflects on the amazing garments she creates!
