This deliciously chunky doorknob handcrafted into a wooden cube is topped with an agate square. Agate is usually associated and found within volcanic rock and is chiefly known for its bright colours. The name comes from The Dirillo, or Acate River in Sicily, where agate was first found. This beautiful square specimen is pure white with a fine grain making it almost transparent. It is perfect for updating or up-cycling a piece of simple furniture that follows the angular design and natural appearance of the doorknob. Interestingly, agate is one of the oldest stones known to mankind and it is believed to be THE stone to have around for protection, strength and energy.
