This tealight holder is handmade and decorated in a delicately punched design. Hand painted on the inside in a fluorescent colour in complete contrast to the burnished silver exterior. It is a contemporary ethnic little centre-piece. When lit, the flicker of the candle twinkles like a sky full of stars through the hundreds of tiny holes. Available in pewter and blue, followed in size by neon green, pink and orange, but with variations on two distinct designs. This multi award-winning manufacturer employs seventy men at their factory in Moradabad, India, ten of these are sub-contractors and sixty are employed at the site. Apart from statutory wages, there is a loan scheme to all who are in need. Diwali is celebrated together with a distribution of food and presents. The supplier says "We believe in team work, united we stand , divided we fall. Our team is very co-operative and we help each other as well”. Individually, this tealight holder is lovely. Grouped together with the other three, with the mixture of pattern, height and colours it makes for a galaxy of neon stars within four silver towers of cylindrical and simplistic beauty.
