The texture of this tote bag is a fabulously rustic, chunky weave. It is made from robust jute and is of a suitable size for shopping or is stylish enough for an overnight bag. The large front pocket is patterned in neutral colours, which differs in each individual bag making it an unique accessory. The pattern offsets the main body of the black bag perfectly with soft suede straps in a buff, sand colour. There is also a usefully-sized inner pocket with a zip and the whole bag is held closed with a magnetic popper. This simple-looking homespun bag is built on a heritage of recycling and boasts great attention to detail. The modern look of the design gains its style, strength and practicality from years of hand-me-down knowhow. Plus it looks pretty cool too.

A long-standing company based in Dehli make this bag. They have a large factory employing more than one hundred and fifty people directly, as well as providing employment opportunities for more than a thousand families when their supply demands it. Employees receive a Provident Pension Fund, employee insurance and paid maternity leave. The company has adopted four children and provides for their education and up-bringing. Their main mission is to preserve centuries old tradition of hand-embroidery techniques, many of which derive from the pragmatic art of recycling. For example, women prolonged the use of their clothing and saris by beautifying them or simply stitching threadbare layers together to form new and usable drapery.
