This lamp has been painstakingly soldered piece by piece, by hand to create a miniature Eiffel Tower in a natural rust finish. At strategic points within the structure, clear crystal droplets hang from fine copper wire, that gently and mesmerisingly swing as speckles of light play of the hand-cut multifaceted gems. The work that has gone in to this product is immense, detailed and time-consuming. The supplier who makes this product employs twenty-five men, fifteen of whom work in the factory and ten who work from home. Employees receive the benefit of EPF, a government led retirement plan, as well as their statutory wage. Natural materials are used in the factory such as iron, wood, glass, aluminium, copper and recycled wood and all of them are made into goods using traditional techniques. They have plans to improve factory conditions even further and describe their team of employees as well educated and experienced. They believe that this is what helps to maintain the high quality of their products and the satisfaction of their staff. The Eiffel Tower is synonymous with love, romance, ambience, Parisienne walkways, mist, rain and effortless style. We think this idiosyncratic lamp would easily suit a bohemian setting surrounded by drapery, cushions and collectable ephemera or equally in a minimalist, industrial and bright loft apartment. Incroyable.
