Sometimes the old adage involving a broken item ‘that ain’t’, i.e. no fixing required here, just needs to be, well ... ignored. A bracket as is, may do the job, but it can be so much more! This gothic-inspired bracket is hand-cast in distressed grey iron with a meandering foliage design that twists back on itself and incorporates a pretty beach rose that is a flower indigenous to Asia. Pair up and add an interesting piece of wood or metal for a shelf, or use on its own to make a sconce or plant shelf. For a hook with a difference try attaching small ’s’ hooks and hang kitchen utensils, jewellery or a bell.
Supplier Info: It is double-sided, so aesthetically pleasing from any angle and is supplied to us via a medium scale manufacturer based in Jaipur, India. They own two factories, both employing around two hundred craftspeople at each location. The manufacturing processes juxtapose traditional methods, i.e. wood carving and pot throwing, with relevant and up-to-date modern design. Workers use components such as sustainable wood, ceramics, terracotta, iron and glass in their products. Artisans’ skills are boosted by training and workers receive paid leave, GPA and bonuses. Social get-togethers are encouraged by the management to promote a good working environment and festivals are celebrated by all twice a year. They are proud to be one of the largest exporters of handicraft products in India, with a commitment to quality, social and environmental issues.
