This remarkable piece is an original and complete dodgem car from the Carters Steam Fair 'Kings of Rock and Roll' Supercar Dodgems. Long established Carters Steam Fair has been running since 1977 and was the largest travelling vintage funfair in the world. The car is painted green with a red and white leather seat. Each car from this collection was named after a rock and roll legend; this car is named after Gene Vincent which is beautifully hand painted on the front. This dodgem car was used at fairgrounds between 1990 and 2014, and now it can be whatever you fancy! A quirky reading nook, an unusual lampstand or add it to your collection. However you choose to use this awesome piece of vintage fairground memorabilia, we would love to see what you do!
The dodgem car has its wheels and does move. It also still has its connecting pole. But, please note, this is by no means a functioning dodgem car and is not suitable for children as a toy.
This piece does show signs of wear, use and age. In particular the leather of the seat is quite damaged. This could be repaired, reupholstered - or keep it authentic.
