The mango wood frame, with a deckchair-esque arched leg detail, has been hand-painted in a neutral colour to emphasise the simple beauty of the multi-coloured, hand-dyed and hand-stitched woollen folky cross-stitch into the acrylic web of basketweave. Imagine this beautiful Sherman Chair in a conservatory, a loft apartment, a boho living room, next to the Aga, a bathroom …. we could go on.

Supplier Info: The company who makes this employs two hundred factory workers who are passionate about their work and always have a positive attitude, and it shows. They thrive on challenges and are always willing to give a helping hand or an opinion if they feel something could be improved. All employees are offered ESI (employee state insurance), receive Provident Funding towards retirement and perhaps more importantly, free tea and snacks throughout the day! Being fitness fanatics, every year the whole company takes part in the Delhi Half Marathon and they celebrate festivals with employees and their families. Traditional wood-carving skills are employed in conjunction with state-of-the-art modern machinery. The company is FSC certified and procure their wood from legal sources. They also offer recycled wood items. They use have solar panels to provide their electricity and a whole team is dedicated to working on improvement within their factory with future plans already in place. They hope to be able to continue to work in a way that is environmentally friendly, whilst producing the finest quality products from India.
