In Nepal it’s very difficult to get a job as an uneducated woman, but as the felt products are relatively simple to make, a lot of under-privileged women have become involved in this industry. This in turn has helped by improving their living standard and has empowered them. The paper products utilise the age old traditions of hand-made paper making and provides work for under-privileged people enabling them to improve their living standards and empowers them. The felt is made from New Zealand and Tibetan wool. It is made entirely by hand by shaping the raw wool with soap, water and human hand pressure, no chemicals are used during this process. We are very proud of our traditional centuries old method of LOKTA paper making, and that our business is helping to develop Nepal.
